Sarah Compton

This app works awesome, has kept me informed and thoroughly up to date here on the East Coast of Canada, Newfoundland...through Isaac, Leslie and now Sandy.... Thanks Hurricane tracker... Kool!

No star

How do I get my money back. Outdated blog, no maps, horrible

Worst App Ever

This App is worthless. Ive been ripped off. False description. I want my money back. Id give it a NEGATIVE 5 Negative star rating if I could. Thanks for nothing.

Mark at his best.

The app is exactly what Mark promised, eager to see it grow and adapt.

Very disappointed

Tower cams are outdated

Dont waste your money

It doesnt work. Old images or none at all

Great concept but...

This app has serious flaws. First, you must force-quit to make it update. Hypertext links dont work. Tower cams do not update and there is no button to refresh. The Tahoe cam doesnt work either but the map does. Hope to see a fix soon.

Please Do Not Spend Your Money on This App

Worst app I have ever bought. It would be worthless even if free. No video, no pictures, nothing up to date. TERRIBLE! ZERO stars.

Great start for REAL hurricane info

Marks v1.0 may have startup bugs, but it delivers info, timely updates, and data not found on any other hurricane app. Seemed a bit pricey until I installed it. Having Marks team in my pocket is GREAT. Great analysis and explanations of hurricane status without hype. Delivers. Worth the money.

Cameras inactive

This was announced on local news, so I did not read reviews, mistake. This is a waste of money for sure. The "watching Isaac" cameras are not even active. The Gulf Port camera is not updated often. One star rating is too many.

Incredible disappointment

Excuses and more excuses. Cameras dont work, app doesnt refresh live feeds, updates dependent in 3G cell towers, no maps, tracking etc. Guess what, you are setting up shop in a hurricane! Make sure you have the right equipment that can withstand the wind and rain before you start charging people $9.99! I got more info from CNN than this app. Sad!

Still a long way to go.

This is a work in process and it still has a long way to go. It was released a bit early with best intentions, (I have been a fan for a long time) but it is not yet there and I can neither figure out why Mark allowed his name on it nor why the first five reviewers were so biased..... While I wont ask for a refund, its capabilities were sorely lacking during hurricane Issa, I hope it gets better with time. I would not buy this right now if given the choice... Good luck Mark, it has your name on it....!!!!

Excellent!

Fantastic very satisfied!! Lots of improvements made cant wait to use it!

Powerful Hurricane Information

(Update): Sept. 29th, 2012.....I really like the new update. Tools are even easier to access and I love the look of all the maps. Mark has been tracking hurricanes for many years and informing clients of upcoming Hurricanes and the dangers they could pose as well as streaming video during the event. Well now this app has combined them all in one and made it easier for me to be able to read his blogs with the touch of a single button. Everyone living in a Hurricane prone area should have this app....Mike Theiss

Hurricane newbie

I find discussions very useful. I have interests in St Thomas and this area is generally ignored by mainstream press. The dynamics of storm development are discussed in good detail. Very instructional for someone with no meteorological background.

Excellent v1.2

Really liking this app. Finally a source for detailed explanations of the current conditions. Sick of hyped up local news with no detail. The video blogs have been very helpful in preparing for Sandy. Looking forward to the mobile reports in the coming days

Only Hurricane App that brings you up close to the action.

This app has lot potential. Its not just informational in nature but its added value is ability to bring information from the storm right to you live. I would consider this app still new though it was announced last year.. because the season was not as active as previous seasons I dont think its gotten its full trial run yet. I think one of the best features is the ability to stay in contact with live mission updates as HurricaneTrack goes out into the field and and basically right into the approaching hurricane. They can see something out in the filed and keep you updated in minutes with videos that are posted. I would recommend this app.. along with HurricanePro/HD and Radarscope. Few recommendations I would make .. in the Video Section have the abiltiy not only see Daily Vids / Field Missions but also link to the a video stream (ustream/ustream app) Push notifications when that video becomes live or when new vid is updated in either the Daily Vid or Field Mission section.(Which I believe has already been implemented - but havent seen anything yet obviously) Surge Cam - have the ability refresh the pic on that section and the ability to zoom into the cam pic..either by linking or ability to turn phone such that it autmoatically zooms into the pic and gets rid of the map section. Again if you really want to be up close to the storm.. this is the only app that will get ya there ! That Im aware of, there are NONE out there like this !

RIPOFF ALERT

NEEDS A ZERO. The developer must have written all reviews with ratings over ZERO. They have one "tower" in NJ that has a bad picture from oct 2012. They have a couple of maps that look copied from the web dated Oct 2012. Their current data is all from UTube. Their "Blog" is a bunch of people like you and me talking about how hard it is raining. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR YOUR TIME

Perfect Hurricane companion

I love this app. During Hurricane season new videos available everyday with in-depth information about the current weather pattern. Very good explanations for the beginning meteorologists or people interested in the science behind hurricanes. Highly recommended!!! Issues (which are minor startup bugs) get fixed almost immediately. Great support.
